Cherry Garcia Cookie Recipe - Recipes Note









Inspired by Cherry Garcia Ice Cream, this chocolate chip cookie recipe is so easy to make and absolutely loved by everyone! Sweet and tart, these cherry cookies are the perfect treat anytime! The best part? Almost everything you need for your ingredient list can be found in your pantry!

Ingredients


  • 1 cup granulated sugar

  • 3 sticks (1 1/2 cups) butter, softened at room temperature

  • 1 egg

  • 1 teaspoon of almond extract

  • 3 cups flour

  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

  • 1 teaspoon of baking soda

  • 1 (12 oz.) Nestle Bag Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chips

  • 1 (10 ounces.) Jar of Maraschino Cherry (dried and sliced)

instructions


  1. Preheat oven to 350 °.

  2. Line a cookie sheet with parchment paper and set aside. In a large bowl, add sugar, butter, egg and almond extract. With an electric cream mixer until light and fluffy.

  3. Add flour and salt and mix until smooth.

  4. Add the semisweet chocolate chips and stir until they are well spread. Gently fold the chopped cherry.

  5. Cool the dough for 30 minutes.

  6. Roll the dough into 2-inch balls (cookies will not expand much in the oven) and place on a baking sheet on a parchment lining. Bake for 12-14 minutes or until light brown.

  7. Cool on a baking sheet for 5 minutes and then transfer to a wire rack for complete cooling. ENJOY!!
